The art of bowl making flourished in the North Indian belt, more than any other place in the last century. All bronze artisans worked with a similar process for hand hammering singing bowls, some slight variations existed from village to village or artisan to artisan. Your bowl is still made using the age-old methods but with the help of moulds.
In the world of singing bowls, there are myths, fascinating stories about traditions in bowl making, making bowls under the full moon, the use of 7 special metals and even a specific bowl for each chakra. Despite these fascinating stories that many hold dear to them, we take a different approach. Our bowls are simply crafted by specialists who have perfected this skill, one that has been passed down from generation to generation. It is as simple as that. No special chant was recited while hammering our bowls, nor were they made on a full moon night or mixed with a magical metal composition. Just Pure bronze, which is a mix of copper (78%) plus Tin (22%), they are melted into a mould, heated, and then hand hammered. This process is repeated until the desired shape is achieved. The hand hammering process leaves the bowl slightly uneven, unlike machine made brass bowls. The lip on hand made bowls will hence also be slightly uneven, that adds to that beautiful oscillation. The bowl itself may have slight discolorations from the coating it receives.

The smaller bowls hold a higher tone/ frequency. These are best for meditations that are built around focus, attention, memory, and mindfulness. The larger ones that hold more lower frequencies are best for sound baths, relaxing meditations, and space cleansing.
This 7-bowl set is handmade and organised in order of the musical notes (CDEFGAB). The smallest bowl starts at approx. 7 inches and the largest extends to about 10inches. Unlike machine made bowls, our bowls being handmade will never look the same or have the exact precision in circumference.
The hand hammering and light polish leaves this unique set with variations in colour and light smudges. We requested our artisans to retain this look as it allows you, the new owner of this bowl to appreciate the craftmanship. In time these bowls will age and develop a darker shade.
These bowls are traditionally made using the age-old hand hammering method as that of Jambati bowls, you will notice unlike machine made brass bowls, the lip surface of these bowls are uneven. This allows for a unique soundscape for each bowl. The high walls of these bowls aid in using them for sound massages (ie; body placing).

After much inquiry, feedback and testing we choose 3 bowl sizes, that we thought cover all bases. Any single bowl could be used to complement crystal sets and (at an introductory level) for a sound massage. Alternatively, the 3 set could be used for the same, yet now offering a variation in sound and vibration with more variety in sizes. This set works well for beginners or those who would like to start their sound journey using singing bowls.

This handmade bowl is ideal to start your meditative practice and comes in 2 variations. The Aged Finish and the Matt Gold, both are made from bronze, they just have a different finish.
All bowls being pure bronze will eventually discolour into an aged patina alongside your practice. (This is already induced into the dhyana aged finish).

This beautiful bowl is a 20-inch custom made bowl. These bowls are used widely in yoga studios and now even more so at homes. Yes, due to its popularity we now stock up on the large Dhyana bowls for our private customers who house them in their meditation rooms or personal mindful space at home.
This bowls takes on a life of its own when tapped with its custom mallet and striker. Not only can this bowl be used for sound baths, it’s main purpose is to stand inside it and then strike the bowl.
This offers the full body a vibrational experience of the bowl first hand.

This 7-bowl set is made of Silica Sand. Yes, that’s correct. These are sold all over the world and marketed as crystal bowls. We too title them like all other vendors do, however we would be doing a disservice by not revealing the actual composition.
Our crystal sets are all machine made and pre- tuned to the musical notes (CDEFGAB). The largest being a C note and the smallest a B note. We tested various sellers of these beautiful bowls until we found a provider who could deliver a sweet-sounding soulful set, that meets our standards.
